If you’re interested in becoming a union trained Peer Support, speak to any current member of our peer support team, an officer, email the office at UWHCLocal1942@gmail.com or call the local office 233-1942. The local is committed to Peer Support training.

A prospective Peer Support should be reasonably certain that they will be around for at least a year or two. While most peer support activities are done on work time, some extra time commitment is necessary to attend monthly Peer Support meetings and occasional training sessions.

If you or your coworkers don’t feel you have a voice and are being treated unfairly,  or you're just tired of finding out too late that your supervisor isn’t following new policies, you might want to consider becoming a trained Peer Support and stand up for yourself and your co-workers.
